As you click around this web site, you’ll see a theme running through our stories, a theme that says we need to throw everything we’ve got at the problems we face if we hope to see real change. That’s what a campaign does: it pulls out all the stops. We’ve created this spotlight section to share our priority campaigns, which ultimately shape and lead our work to end homelessness, protect public lands, and build the capacity of the nonprofit sector.
A timeline and a list of tactics does not a campaign make. Unless you begin your focus on the decisionmaker and work backward from there, you will spin your wheels creating plans, running meetings, and depleting budgets. Determine who is going to make the change that you are trying to achieve and focus everything you have on them. The general public is not an audience!
